Description
A gate valve is a type of valve used to control the flow of liquids or gases through pipes by lifting or lowering a gate.
Gate valves come in different types, including rising stem and non-rising stem, and can be made from materials such as cast iron, stainless steel, and brass.
Gate valves operate by moving a gate or wedge into or out of the flow stream, allowing full flow when open and blocking flow when closed.
